The Future of Mennonites

Okay no more excuses about using YouTube. If I like it then its going to find its way here. I thought that now that I am a pastor at a Mennonite church I should see if there is anything on YouTube that would connect me with my roots and give me a broader sense of belonging. What I never realized was that I would stumble across the future of Mennonites . . .

(even if you are confused wait for the last robot, he is the best!)

I watched it yesterday and found it totally incomprehensible. In fact, I kept looking over my shoulder to make sure that Leah didn't walk is so I wouldn't have to explain what I was watching (which I wouldn't have been able to do anyway)--there would have been nightmares for sure!

To my shame I have watched this a couple of times and I think there may actually be something to it. It takes a while to decipher all the text in it but the contrasts are certainly established between the anti-technology stereotype of the Mennos and these robots as well as their pacifist stance and the commando that is running through the ghetto (and also what I think may be the robots last line about "burning you down?!") And perhaps the last dancing robot is also through in for greater contrast.
I know that is still not saying much but I still kind of like it.
